LOCATION: 560 Victoria Street N. | Kitchener, ON. N2H 5G2

SHIFT: Part Time >> Friday (11pm to 11am) and Sunday (11am to 11pm)

RATE: $18.50/hr

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, wrap, sort, and package fresh products into bags and boxes
• Work in production/packaging area to make and stack boxes onto pallets and wrap them safely
• Inspect filled packages to ensure product is packaged according to specifications
• Wrap and stack bread trays onto pallets and operate production machines as required
• Be responsible for equipment set-up, changeovers, and running production lines as needed for various food products
• Assist machine operators, mixers, oven captains, and crew with other duties as assigned
• Work as a flex operator to monitor the production of different production lines
• Cover multiple positions depending on vacation and absenteeism needs
• Assist sanitation crew in the cleanliness of production equipment and area
• Ensure all food safety and health & safety policies and procedures are followed

Qualifications

• A lover of bread and baked goods!
• Must be comfortable lifting 50 pounds repetitively
• Strong people skills—approachable, a good listener, and empathetic
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred)
• Dedicated to the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues
• Ability to digest constructive feedback as an opportunity to improve skills and performance
• Listen to comprehend a situation first, asking questions to clarify understanding
