Job description

Cancer Care Alberta at the New Grande Prairie Cancer Centre, with Alberta Health Services is inviting applications from Family Medicine Physicians interested in providing services to the Oncology outpatient program.

The position requires active participation within a multidisciplinary cancer programs team of oncologists that are working within the systemic treatment area and are involved in patient care, research and teaching activities at the New Grande Prairie Cancer Centre, North Zone.

This opportunity involves sessional clinics at the New Grande Prairie Cancer Centre Hospital site outpatient programs. The successful candidate will provide consultation, assessment and management for Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy patients.

Qualifications:

Qualifications include an MD, certification in Family Medicine (or equivalent), and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta.

Preferred:

Additional training in a General Practitioner in Oncology (GPO) education program and/or prior experience as a GPO would be an asset.
