Avalon Health is building a different kind of healthcare clinic in Greater Victoria, and we’re looking for Family Physicians and General Practitioners who want to be part of it.

We are a new, physician-led interdisciplinary clinic bringing family physicians, nurse practitioners, medical specialists and allied health professionals together under one roof.

Our goal is simple: create an environment where practitioners can focus on excellent patient care while working alongside a connected, collaborative healthcare team.

The Opportunity

At Avalon, we want physicians to be able to focus on being physicians.

Our team takes care of the administrative and operational demands of running a practice so you can spend your time caring for patients.

You’ll maintain clinical independence and flexibility in how you build your practice while having access to a broader interdisciplinary team for collaboration, shared care and professional connection.

Whether you are looking to establish a full family practice, work part-time, complement another role, or build a practice around particular clinical interests, we are open to creating a structure that works for you.

What Your Practice Could Look Like

There is no single model for practicing at Avalon.

Your practice may include longitudinal family medicine, episodic care, focused areas of practice, interdisciplinary care or a combination depending on your interests and how you want to practise.

As the clinic grows, we also see opportunities to develop programs that bring physicians, specialists, nurse practitioners and allied health professionals together around specific patient populations and community needs.

We want our services to evolve based on both our practitioners’ strengths and the needs we see in Greater Victoria.

Practice Structure and Compensation

Practice arrangements and compensation will be discussed with selected candidates and will reflect the structure of the practice, schedule and type of care provided.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a Family Physician or General Practitioner licensed, or eligible to be licensed, to practise medicine in British Columbia.

You may be an established physician looking for a different way to practise, someone returning to practice, relocating to Greater Victoria, transitioning from another healthcare setting, or looking to add a flexible clinical practice alongside your current work.

We’re particularly interested in physicians who value collaboration while maintaining their professional autonomy.
