Role and Facility Information
This opportunity is to provide neonatal on-call coverage in beautiful Powell River. There is also an opportunity to cover the physician’s regular family practice clinic.
We are seeking a general practitioner with a particular interest and skillset in neonatal care. This urgent locum coverage has the potential to transition to a permanent position.
Powell River Hospital is developing a new and exciting full-service perinatal program with the support and collaboration of obstetricians/gynecologists, family doctors, midwives, nursing staff, and lactation consultants. Join this important work to help optimize and retain rural perinatal services!
Although neonatal call is the primary expectation, there is also the option to cover this work with general fee-for-service family practice/hospitalist work.

Compensation
Combination of service contract (neonatal call) and fee-for-service for clinic work. This locum opportunity qualifies for up to $1,000 in travel and/or accommodation reimbursement.
