Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is a tertiary hospital and the main referral center in the region, featuring approximately 400 beds and over 84,000 emergency department visits yearly. It houses the Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC), the only cardiac critical care center outside of Victoria and the Lower Mainland, with specialized operating rooms for various surgical disciplines.
The Interior Health Authority (IHA) invites applications for a full-time Anatomical Pathologist position at KGH. The IHA serves a population of approximately 750,000 across southern BC and employs 44 regional pathologists and laboratory physicians.
The successful applicant will provide consultative and diagnostic surgical pathology and autopsy services in Kelowna, with opportunities for academic engagement in the Southern Medical Program of the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Qualifications for the position include an MD and eligibility for a full medical license in BC, with certification in Anatomical Pathology. Fellowship training or equivalent subspecialty experience in an academic setting is required.
Relocation assistance of up to $9,000 - $15,000 is available based on move location. Remuneration is governed by the BC Provincial Pathology payment grid.
