Job summary

The North West Company in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Warehouse Personnel – General Merchandise for a regular part-time term ending December 31, 2026. You will receive, pick, tag, and stage merchandise, using RF scanners and pallet jacks, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, at our Winnipeg Logistics Services Centre. This role offers growth and development within a dynamic, diverse culture and free parking at the distribution center.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping/receiving experience would be considered an asset.
• Ability to lift 20 to 70 pounds unassisted on a regular basis.
• Ability to operate RF handheld computer efficiently and accurately.
• Must possess a high attention to detail.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Detail receive PO’s into Warehouse 7 and Warehouse 5.
• Prepare and tag orders for distribution to stores.
• Pick in the various zones for daily Basics allocations.
• Organize freight inside the warehouse and outside in the yard.
• Deliver and stage warehouse 5 & 7 products in designated areas.
• Manifest and stage orders as required.
• Ability to identify problem PO’s and work with supervisor to correct.
• Sorting of Giant Tiger fashion freight by store.
• Building, wrapping and assisting in the sorting / bringing down of outbound pallets.
• Verifying counts on the pallets.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
