Job summary

Walmart Canada in Mississauga is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver exceptional customer service on a fast-paced retail floor. You will help customers, assist with product selection, and support stocking and merchandising tasks to keep the floor customer-ready.

Responsibilities include floor coverage, merchandising, safety, and flexible scheduling to meet store needs. This role starts at a minimum pay rate of CAD 17.75/hour.

Responsibilities

• Delivers friendly and professional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with product selection, promoting products and services, helping locate merchandise, supporting purchase decisions, and resolving or referring customer concerns as needed.
• Covers assigned areas of the sales floor and assists with Front End coverage when required. Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained and customer needs are met.
• Zones assigned areas to maintain a clean and organized sales floor. Moves feature merchandise to its modular location and processes recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
• Stocks merchandise and picks, completes downstocking as required, applies product protection when needed, and sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and hazard‑free work environment by following Company policies and procedures, completing safety sweep logs, and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.
