The General Manager of Kiltech and Energy Management Optimization Consultancy and Operations holds overall responsibility for SMARDT's Kiltech division globally. This role involves establishing and managing the Energy Management Optimization consultancy and offerings, including operational controls, chiller and central plant optimization, and energy management systems. The role requires implementing strategies aligned with operational goals while exceeding customer expectations for quality, cost, and service. The manager will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, lead teams, and provide clear leadership to maximize efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence. Collaboration with Smardt Chiller controls and TICA’s FUCA division is essential to ensure alignment and optimization of products and operations, maximizing chiller and central plant performance. The role also involves coordinating with other energy management leaders across Smardt and TICA organizations.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

Strategy and Development:

  • Develop and launch a turnkey Energy Management Consulting (EMC) business under Kiltech.
  • Transition the business from a product-based to an energy solutions company.
  • Plan for specialties in chilled water, refrigeration, heating systems (steam and hot water), and compressed air.
  • Create a business delivering energy efficiency consulting and training.
  • Evaluate business challenges, mitigate risks, and develop opportunities.
  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budgeting.
  • Develop a five-year Kiltech strategy supporting growth in equipment revenue and profitability.
  • Enhance PMI contract relationships.
  • Expand integrated outcome-based offerings, including technical and financial solutions, and align with ESG and carbon neutrality goals.
  • Leverage CPECS software, cloud integration, and energy modeling tools.
  • Develop Energy as a Service (EaaS) models, including asset ownership and usage-based sales structures.
  • Expand ECMs to include emerging technologies like ORC and geothermal.

General and Task Management:

  • Implement a customer-focused operational culture with world-class service levels.
  • Support project management and cross-functional activities.
  • Set and report on key business targets and KPIs.

Human Resources Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison between TICA's Board and Kiltech employees.
  • Build and restructure teams to support growth.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to high-performing teams.
  • Manage financial performance, budgets, and compliance, aiming for yearly EBITDA and revenue growth.

Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Report activities and KPIs to senior management.
  • Develop new key accounts and business opportunities globally.
