Be the leader of one of NZ’s largest horticulture businesses – drive growth, lead change and shape the future.

We are proud to be partnering with a well-known New Zealand horticulture business to recruit a new General Manager. This company is the largest of its kind in the country and has a strong legacy, national scale and exciting growth ambitions across both domestic and export markets.

This is a hands-on, fully autonomous leadership role reporting directly to the board. You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering business strategy, improving systems and operations and driving commercial performance across the organisation. There is a strong appetite for change and you’ll be supported to make this role your own.

You’ll lead a passionate and capable team across operations, sales, logistics and production. The board brings deep industry knowledge and is committed to supporting growth, but they are looking for someone who can truly own and drive the business day to day business operations and growth. You will be the face of the company and be expected to be in customer facing role to drive sales and deliver growth. Be the leader of one of NZ’s largest horticulture businesses drive growth, lead change and shape the future.

We’re looking for a commercially strong leader with experience running complex operations. You’ll need to be systems-savvy, able to lead change and confident making smart commercial decisions. A background in horticulture, food production, agriculture or FMCG would be helpful but your attitude and leadership capability matter most.

You might be an experienced General Manager or a senior leader ready to step up. You’ll be strategic but hands-on, with a good understanding of leading teams, improving systems and delivering commercial results.
