We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented professional to take on the pivotal role of General Manager for Londonderry Shopping Centre, a super-regional retail destination in North Edmonton. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, Commercial Properties , the General Manager will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction and overseeing the day-to-day operations of this high-profile property. This is a unique opportunity to drive value creation, foster tenant relationships, and ensure long-term success in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence : Lead continuous property improvements to maintain high standards of operation.
• Financial Optimization : Leverage resources to enhance financial performance and maximize stakeholder returns.
• Strategic Leasing : Collaborate on long-term leasing and development strategies, focusing on tenant mix and vacancy reduction.
• Tenant Relations : Drive tenant sales growth to attract new tenants and retain existing ones, fostering strong, collaborative relationships.
• Team Leadership : Recruit, mentor, and inspire the on-site management team to achieve their full potential.
• Budget Management : Prepare comprehensive annual budgets, including income, expense, and capital forecasts. Monitor common area expenses and ensure timely payment processing.
• Collections Oversight : Ensure effective receivables management to maintain financial health.
• Marketing and Promotions : Develop and oversee marketing and promotional budgets, raising the property’s profile in the community.
• Safety and Security : Review and implement security plans, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to policies.
• Maintenance and Compliance : Supervise maintenance and repair activities, ensuring all operations meet safety standards and corporate policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to adapt to property management software like Yardi or MRI.
• Leasing Expertise : Strong knowledge of tenant lease agreements, negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
• Crisis Management : Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Sustainability Awareness : Knowledge of energy-efficient building practices and environmental compliance standards, such as LEED or BOMA BEST certifications.
