Job summary

Oceaneering's Grayloc business seeks a General Manager to lead global strategy, growth, profitability, and operations for the clamp connectors and high‑pressure systems portfolio. You will partner with the SVP Subsea Manufactured Products to drive value creation, market expansion, and operational excellence.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, operational performance, and financial success of the global Grayloc business.   • Interface with clients to ensure a positive business relationship from initial interest in products and services through bid submittals, order processing, engineering / technical execution, manufacturing, shipment, invoicing and aftermarket support.
  • Lead innovation, process transformation, and technology adoption initiatives.
  • Ability to engage effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, including Business Partners within Oceaneering organization.
  • Lead evaluation of acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic investments
  • Reshape the business unit on a continuous basis based on client actions, market changes, competitive landscape.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for global engineering, project management, manufacturing and sales operations
  • Determine and recommend capital investment needs to support expansion strategies.
  • Establish governance processes addressing strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks
  • Provide oversight for global bids, projects, license agreements and customer relationships
  • Review and approve commercial / technical bid reviews for key customer proposals.
  • Provide leadership that focues on continued cost controls, growth and business success.
  • Actively support continuous improvement efforts to ensure that business and technical practices remain highly competitive.
  • Ensure the continued strength of Oceaneering’s Culture and Core Values; hold employees accountable for commitments.

Prepare and deliver monthly Operational Outlook updates

Review and generate monthly forecasts and plan data

Participate in annual planning cycles

Develop and maintain MBO’s

  • Initiate and lead critical lessons learned activities to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for administration and execution of company policies and procedures.
  • Focus on project execution by improving customer relations, project cost, schedule control, contract management, and risk management.

Required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or other technical field.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with more than ten (10) years of P&L management experience.
  • Proven track record in developing sales growth and strategies.
  • Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in leadership and personnel management.
  • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in an engineered‑to‑order, high‑value, low‑volume, capital goods manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead successful marketing, sales, and negotiation activities.
  • Ability to lead high-performance technical organization and to ensure outstanding overall performance.
  • Business or equivalent experience.

  • Fifteen years plus (15+) Oil and Gas industry or related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics

Executive presence with strong influencing, presentation, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
