Job description

Maple Leaf Marinas (MLM) is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada. MLM’s marina network comprises 20 locations throughout the Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay, Muskoka, and Parry Sound Regions.

Do you have experience managing a marina, or a campground – maybe a hotel or golf course? We are looking for candidates with property management skills to run our Georgian Shores Marina. If you are a boater, that would help, but it’s not necessary. The successful candidate needs to have good management skills, understand property maintenance, and be good with people.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Oversee the overall management, operations, and daily business of the marina which includes, but is not limited to, the areas of dockage, storage, launch and haul, fuel dock, property maintenance, and overall customer satisfaction.
  2. Closely monitor and achieve objectives related to Annual Operating and Capital Budgets.
  3. Work with our H.R. Department to recruit, hire and maintain staffing levels.
  4. Responsible for the marina’s Health and Safety Program which includes site inspections, injury/accident reporting, and site safety meetings.
  5. Provide close attention to appropriately delegating tasks and maintaining high employee morale and engagement through fostering a team environment.
  6. Work with our Marketing Department to organize events, stimulate boating interest, and promote the marina and its services.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
  8. Assist with Capital Projects, as determined by MLM Management.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will need to have the following experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Prior property management experience
  3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting software is preferred
  4. Boating experience and knowledge is an asset
  5. Must have excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  6. Must have a valid G Driver’s License
  7. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and team approach
