The Opportunity
The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) is now accepting applications for a General Manager, Financial Services (Chief Financial Officer) based out of Salmon Arm.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the General Manager, Financial Services (CFO) is a senior management position appointed as the Financial Officer for the CSRD. This position is responsible for leading the financial planning, coordination, control of the activities, and business affairs of the finance department for the CSRD and the North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap Regional Hospital District Board. The General Manager performs all statutory functions required under the Local Government Act.
The General Manager is responsible to ensure that all finance and accounting functions are carried out in accordance with policies, legislation, collective agreements, and generally accepted accounting practices and principles. This position works closely with the management team to ensure the financial goals and objectives are met, including the development of the annual budget and financial controls.
The services provided by the department include financial planning, budget development, financial management, reporting and accounting services, payroll, procurement and contracts, asset management, insurance, and risk management.

The role offers a competitive compensation package including an annual wage range of $151,716 to $167,686.
