These include standard and custom-engineered heat transfer and pressure equipment such as waste heat recovery economizers, selective catalytic reducers, and related systems.

This individual will work closely with the executive leadership team and business development to drive growth, support project execution, and identify product standardization opportunities. A key component of the role will be developing and maintaining a line card of standardized offerings while ensuring custom solutions continue to meet client-specific technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the business plan for TES Technical in alignment with the broader TES Group strategic vision.
  • Participate in the development of marketing strategies and content.
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify and qualify new leads and opportunities.
  • Oversee technical solution development, estimation, and proposal preparation.
  • Ensure technical accuracy, commercial competitiveness, and timely delivery of proposals and bid packages.
  • Identify which products and solutions can be standardized vs. custom-engineered and develop a line card of standardized offerings.
  • Support project management and operations teams during execution of awarded projects, ensuring technical compliance, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Report on KPIs including revenue, gross margin, win rates, and project gross profit.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering degree or Construction Engineering Technologist designation preferred, but equivalent experience in technical sales, design, and execution will be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial engineering, fabrication, or technical solution delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of heat transfer and pressure equipment, including ASME and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Experience managing teams and developing business strategy within a technical environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to work across functions to drive profitable growth.

Reporting & Advancement

  • This position reports to the Vice President of Operations of TES Group
  • Subject to achievement of performance targets and growth milestones, the General Manager may be considered for advancement to a Vice President-level role within the broader Solv3 organization.

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits program including health, dental, and retirement plans.
  • Flexibility to be based in either the Sherwood Park (Alberta) or Tulsa (Oklahoma) office, with travel between locations as needed.
