General Manager, Consumer Health Canada
Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to lead and oversee our Canadian Softgel CDMO operations across Windsor, Ontario and Strathroy, Ontario. As the General Manager of the Ontario Softgel business, you will drive operational excellence, optimize manufacturing processes, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong management skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the CDMO industry.

The Role
Strategic Planning and Leadership
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the overall business strategy to drive growth and achieve operating goals across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company\'s strategic vision and long-term objectives.
- Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth, and provide strategic insights to drive decision-making.
Operational Excellence & CI
- Oversee and manage all aspects of operations, supply chain, and engineering across sites.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, industry standards, quality management systems, and health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Drive the implementation of The Catalent Way within the sites, define strong CI plans, and identify areas for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Team Management
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to site operations teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Coach and mentor site leadership to build a high-performing organization and ensure cross-site collaboration.
- Establish a strong pipeline of talent to ensure succession in key roles.
- Establish clear performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and provide development opportunities.
Customer Engagement
- Collaborate with commercial teams to understand customer requirements and ensure operational readiness to deliver on commitments.
- Drive customer satisfaction by maintaining strong relationships, addressing concerns, and proactively resolving operational issues with commercial teams.
Financial P&L Responsibility
- Own the financial performance and profitability of the organization, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to support decision-making and growth.
The Candidate
- Engineering Degree, Operations Management or Chemical/Pharmaceutical degree or a related field. Master\'s or advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations. Pharma manufacturing experience is required, with a track record of growth in consumer health, food, and pharmaceutical sectors considered.
- Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence, implementing Lean methodologies, and delivering measurable results.
- Strong experience in managing site/multi-site P&L with understanding of cost levers.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality management systems.
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to build high-performing teams.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel between sites 25-30% and be onsite five days a week in Strathroy or Windsor; shared time between sites is required.
- Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (e.g., participation in Catalent-sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
