Job Description

General Manager - Food and Beverage Venues

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager to lead the ARC restaurant and In-Room Dining outlets at the Fairmont Waterfront. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a proven track record in driving revenue, upholding Forbes and LQA standards, and fostering a luxury service culture. As General Manager, you will oversee daily operations, develop training programs to deliver exceptional guest experiences, and support the overall growth of the venue.

Summary of Responsibilities :

  • Team Leadership and Development : Work in partnership with the ARC Restaurant Chef to ensure flawless operations; recruit, train, and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations; empower colleagues to resolve guest issues promptly.
  • Revenue Generation : Develop strategies to drive revenue and maximize profitability; collaborate with marketing on promotions and social events; ensure accurate forecasting; analyze reports; implement cost control measures.
  • Standards and Quality : Uphold Forbes and LQA standards of excellence.
  • Sustainability, Health, and Safety : Participate in sustainability programs; maintain strict health and safety regulations; ensure a safe, clean environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include :

  • Minimum of 3 years in a senior management role within a luxury restaurant or hotel setting
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to drive revenue and meet financial targets
  • Strong understanding of Forbes and LQA standards and a commitment to excellence
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate diverse teams
  • Attention to detail and high standards in operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, OpenTable, Opera, and Silverware
  • Knowledge of local culinary trends
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred
