Job Description - General Manager

Position Title: General Manager

Reporting To: District Manager/Regional Management (depending on brand and area structure)

Responsibilities

• General Manager’s report directly to the Regional Management (depending on club logistics). First and foremost, GM will ensure all members receive the highest quality Service and overall Experience in the Fitness Industry.
• Demonstrate a competitive mindset through achievement of financial targets for the club as outlined in the annual budget and monthly scorecard.
• Lead, train and develop all team members to focus on members’ needs and goals; follow and command all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure brand integrity.
• Administration/Organization: Demonstrate working knowledge of all standard operating procedures and policies; communicate and implement club policies and procedures to front desk staff; recruit, hire and train front desk staff; achieve sales goals; manage promotions and lead generation; ensure proper tracking and pricing adherence.
• Operations: Maintain cleanliness, safety, security and maintenance standards; manage payroll processes; control labor and purchasing costs; ensure equipment and signage are in good condition.
• Personal Training/Revenue Management: Oversee PT department, promote PT programs, and integrate PT services into membership presentations.
• Leadership/Motivation: Serve as a role model; conduct FD training; foster a constructive, growth-oriented environment; coach and develop employees.
• Measurement Standards: Manage financial budgets, maintain club standards, lead by example, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications

• 4-year Degree Preferred
• One year’s management experience required, managing 10+ team members
• Passionate about the Fitness Industry, if not Fitness Industry Experience
• Current CPR
