Position Summary

The General Manager oversees the efficient, professional, and profitable operation of food service at the assigned venue. This role manages all managerial, full-time, and part-time staff, ensuring compliance with labor laws, sanitation, food ordinances, and alcohol service regulations. Additionally, the General Manager seeks new revenue sources both on and off the venue property.

This position offers a yearly salary of $90,000 to $100,000 plus bonus.

This position remains open until November 20, 2024.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure legal, efficient, and profitable operation of the venue.
  • Review financial reports including budgets, forecasts, revenue analysis, disbursements, and P&L statements.
  • Make final decisions on equipment purchases and leases.
  • Handle conflict resolution, mediation, arbitration, and labor negotiations as needed.
  • Develop, review, and amend policies, procedures, and contracts.
  • Oversee scheduling and labor allocation.
  • Analyze ticket sales and demographic data to predict staffing needs and optimize guest experience.
  • Review sales data to identify purchasing patterns and manage costs.
  • Maintain the point of sale system for accurate financial reporting and accountability.
  • Assist managers in setting and achieving goals.
  • Inspect operations regularly to ensure quality standards.
  • Prepare and submit reports timely and accurately.
  • Develop and evaluate the management team.
  • Collaborate on menu development and marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with show managers, suppliers, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree, with a business-related major preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience in food service or concessions.
  • Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires.
  • Certification in advanced food service sanitation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster a positive work environment.
  • Decisiveness and ability to operate under pressure.
  • Proficiency in English and computer applications including Microsoft Office, POS, and timekeeping systems.
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced stadium or ballpark setting is a plus.
