We are looking for a General Manager to join and lead a team of professionals in our Hinton location. Our portfolio includes hotels in Red Deer, Hinton, and Edson.

Our purpose and goal are to provide simple, smart, comfortable, and friendly accommodations for all our guests. We are looking for someone who is welcoming, intelligent, and can effectively manage all areas of operation. It is essential that our general manager can focus on the things that really matter to our guests and provide consistent, friendly, and professional service.

Additionally, they are an inspiring leader and operationally well-versed in all functions of the hotel. They place the brand at the heart of all decisions while delivering a superior return on investment for the owner.

As the General Manager, you will work alongside ownership to help manage every aspect of the hotels through close involvement in all operations. You must work with a goal of simplifying your process to ensure that operations remain effortless and uncomplicated. You will monitor service standards to ensure that all services (including outsourced services) meet brand standards and guest expectations. You will also be responsible for improving safety, security, and energy conservation within the hotel property. You will establish clear performance goals for employees, provide regular feedback and hands-on coaching and support. You will work closely with your team to ensure steady operations in an effective and approachable way.

Acting as a Brand Ambassador, you will place the brand at the center of all communications, marketing initiatives, and actions. You will take an active role in sales-generating business and make use of market knowledge and social media to provide a clear direction for Sales and Marketing and revenue strategies. Working with financial spreadsheets, you will make budgeting and forecasting decisions and review rates to increase revenue. Your goal is to increase profitability and provide a maximum return on investment for the company.
