The Executive Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the community, including full profit and loss responsibility and serving as the community sales leader. Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing all sales and operations strategies and tactics, and communicating performance with the Regional Vice President
  • Partnering with the Community Sales Director for sales planning and engagement in business-to-business sales calls
  • Supporting resident care programs by collaborating with the Resident Services Director
  • Developing strategies for labor, occupancy, revenue, expenses, and quality of services, with regular review and adjustments
  • Ensuring adherence to the Resident’s Bill of Rights
  • Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff
  • Assessing resident needs and staffing levels
  • Maintaining compliance with policies and regulations
  • Participating in budget development and expense management
  • Building relationships with Support Center resources and the community
  • Engaging in community activities and resident referral networks
  • Overseeing building maintenance and safety
  • Filling in in various positions as needed and maintaining high team morale
  • Meeting financial management goals
  • Participating in sales activities and community outreach
  • Driving community vehicle if required
  • Performing other duties as assigned
