Job Description

As a General Manager, you are an enthusiastic role model who motivates Team Members to deliver exceptional service for every guest, every time. You build positive relationships with your team members and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

As a passionate team leader, you believe in the importance of training Team Members to ensure high standards of guest service, quality, and cleanliness are achieved. Through your knowledge of the quick-service restaurant industry, you support the Owner in the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced restaurant.

Your 3+ years of quick-service experience in a supervisory role, combined with your practical knowledge of recruiting, training, and coaching Team Members, make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Responsibilities :
  • Managing labour costs through effective scheduling and floor management
  • Controlling food and paper costs using order guides
  • Ensuring product launches and promotions are executed flawlessly
  • Resolving guest issues and working with your team to minimize issues
  • Participating in the recruitment process
  • Training new Team Members
  • Monitoring weekly and monthly inventories
  • Preparing and providing restaurant Team Members with performance reviews
  • Training, reminding, and encouraging Team Members to follow all Health & Safety policies and programs
  • Coaching and disciplining Team Members as needed
  • Leading by example by following all Tim Hortons policies and procedures
  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations
  • Balancing cash and completing balance sheets
  • Completing cash reports and related forms
  • Fostering a positive work environment through leadership and example

The company was founded in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario, by Canadian hockey players Tim Horton and Jim Charade. In 1967, Horton partnered with investor Ron Joyce, who took control after Horton's death in 1974, expanding the chain into a multi-billion dollar franchise. Charade left the organization in 1966 and returned briefly in 1970 and from 1993 to 1996.
