Responsibilities

  • Assist with event setup and takedown.
  • Assist with cleaning and upkeep beyond regular contract tasks (dusting hard‑to‑reach locations, reorganization, mounting frames).
  • Assist with seasonal custodial tasks (e.g., snow removal, raking leaves).

Job description

Position Purpose and Summary

This role supports the effective operation and upkeep of the LLC facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all users. The position involves performing general maintenance tasks, including basic cleaning, organization, and minor repairs, with carpentry and plumbing experience considered an asset. Working collaboratively with the LLC staff team, this role contributes to the efficient use of the facility and enhances the overall experience for students and guests.

Key Areas of Accountability
  • Complete task lists prepared by the LLC staff related to the organization, proper maintenance, and repair of the facility and related equipment.
  • Identifying and properly disposing of materials that are no longer needed, outdated or in poor condition according to the direction of the LLC staff.
  • Occasional task of setting up and taking down chairs, tables and other equipment related to LLC events.
  • Assistance in cleaning and upkeep that falls outside the bounds of our regular cleaning contract (e.g., dusting of difficult to reach locations, reorganization of furniture mounting of picture frames, etc.).
  • Assist with seasonal custodial tasks (e.g., clearing stairs of snow or raking leaves, etc.).
