General Maintenance Technician (Full Time)

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Full-time General Maintenance Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Engineering Team as a General Maintenance. At Hyatt, we care for you, while you care for our guests.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF ME IN THIS ROLE?

1. Conducting general rounds for routine inspections of premises and equipment.
2. Performing scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public areas.
3. Handling basic equipment repairs, use of hand and power tools and maintenance.
4. Overseeing contractors as required.
5. Diagnosing electro-mechanical issues and correcting them.
6. Any other duties assigned from time to time within the engineering department.
7. Ability to use measuring instruments like a psychrometer, voltmeter, ammeter, GFCI tester, etc.
8. Working both in a team setting and independently.
9. The position consists of morning, evening, overnight and weekend shifts as per business demands.
10. Diagnosing electro-mechanical and kitchen equipment issues and correcting them.
11. Valid work authorization for Canada.

Experience

1. At least 2-3 years of maintenance work experience.
2. Any additional certifications like Certified Pool Operator, Building Operator Certificate etc. would be considered as an asset.

This role will typically allow a minimum of 30 hours per week.

The starting hourly rate for this role is $22.50 CAD per hour.
