Job summary

Join Corby Spirit and Wine Limited and Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd. as a General Ledger Accountant within the North America Accounting team. You will contribute to monthly close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple entities.

You will prepare journal entries, perform intercompany reconciliations, handle VAT filings, and support Pernod Ricard monthly reporting packages while pursuing your CPA designation and advancing your accounting career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation completed or actively in progress.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with integrated accounting systems and financial reconciliations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; JD Edwards E1 and Hubble (Insight Software) experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process journal entries in support of monthly close activities.
• Complete intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations and participate in global reconciliation processes.
• Record daily accounting transactions, including intercompany billings, purchases, and inventory-related activity.
• Support monthly inventory reconciliations and partner with brand owners on reporting activities.
• Assist with the preparation and completion of Pernod Ricard monthly reporting packages.
• Perform routine account reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
• Prepare monthly VAT filings and support tax reporting requirements for multiple entities.
• Analyze financial information and provide basic variance analysis and reporting.
• Support internal control compliance, risk management, and process improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

CPA designation completed or actively in progress

2-4 years of accounting experience in a similar environment

The salary range for this role is $67,000.00 to $83,800.00 CAD. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate's experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
