Job Summary:

The General Laborer will primarily support yard operations at our PVC facility. This role reports to the Yard Supervisor. It is a full-time position with rotating 12-hour shifts (continental), with an hourly wage of $28.18 and a 6% Night Shift Premium during night rotations.

Responsibilities:

1. Stage regrind from yard to plant in coordination with production.
2. Transport PVC pipes of various sizes safely.
3. Store regrind bags securely.
4. Maintain yard organization and cleanliness.
5. Sort waste products for recycling.
6. Assist with monthly inventory counts.
7. Support rework or re-crating of scrap or good production.
8. Organize gasket area and assist as needed.
9. Repair and re-bag materials.
10. Load and unload trucks safely.
11. Repack super sacks for outbound shipment.
12. Perform general yard and plant housekeeping.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2,000 hours operating forklift with valid license.
3. Minimum 2,000 hours operating skid steer.
4. Proven safety awareness and adherence to safety policies.
5. Effective communication skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
7. Basic understanding of MES system and extrusion process; experience with Infoflo is an asset.
8. Excellent time management skills.
9. Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely.
10. Team player with the ability to work independently.
