Job summary

Vision Transportation in Belleville, ON is hiring a full-time General Labourer to join the operations team at 659 College Street East. This position runs Monday to Friday, with a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and starts at $18.00 per hour, with a salary increase after three months.

The responsibilities include picking, packing, labeling, shipping, inventory control and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Warehouse role requires the ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Strong communication and coordination with team members and supervisors.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of production procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
• Receive, unload and store warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
• Perform inventory controls and maintain high quality standards for audits.
• Report discrepancies and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Sort, label and parcel items for mailing.

Qualifications

JOB PURPOSE:

Our Warehouse workers' responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and scanning orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
• Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
• Report any discrepancies
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Open bales, crates, and other containers
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed
• May also assist in counting of physical inventory
• Prepare parcels for mailing

VISION'S ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment
• Special projects as assigned
