Job description

Country Basket Garden Centre is a family-owned, team-oriented business situated in Niagara Falls with strong ties to the surrounding communities.

We are looking for positive, driven members to join our team to help grow and provide quality products to gardeners throughout the Niagara Region.

We are looking for someone to water throughout the day. Should be open to work early mornings and be able to be productive when working alone.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working on soil lines, filling and moving pots and trays
• Harvesting product and completing fulfillment requirements
• Planting and transplanting products
• Answering customer questions when on the retail floor
• Helping customers with carry outs, cart collection and deliveries
• Loading vehicles with soil bags and products
• Following workplace safety guidelines and training
• Watering plants as necessary
• Performing light maintenance
• Maintaining a clean and organized workplace

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to learn and retain knowledge on products and tasks
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working outdoors, in heat and the elements
• Ability to lift 50 pounds routinely and heavier lifts with assistance available
• Ability to follow directions
• Skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry an asset
• Valid G2 Driver's license is an asset
• Willing to work weekends and holidays during busy months
