Responsibilities and Tasks

• Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas
• Clear fields of wood and stones
• Grade fruits and vegetables according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch high market prices
• Guide growing shoots into optimal development positions
• Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
• Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts
• Train trees to produce more and higher quality fruit
• Weeding
• Fertilize and spray crops
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Follow sustainable soy farming practices such as crop rotation, reduced-till or no-till, water and nutrient management, precision farming technology, and cover crops
