Job Description

Duties for this position will include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Provide general labour support to the paint shop:
• hand painting and cleaning of select steel materials and joist
• moving material and/or equipment within the paint shop
• general cleanliness and organization for the paintshop
• Load and unload materials, both manually and with hoists or forklifts
• Ensure proper storage and restock of paint materials
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Provide general labour support as needed throughout the plant
• Report any safety hazards, damage or required repairs to supervisors
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Practice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements, and time management in the performance of daily duties
• Comply with all legislated and Company Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Lean policies, procedures and programs
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Additional Information

Work Environment

Working safely is a condition of employment at Canam. The role involves a general office setting and constant exposure to computer display. Safety PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn while onsite (steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, etc.). Daily interactions include engaging with construction site personnel, managers, and other team members.
