Job summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking General Labourers to join the team at Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The General Labourer will maintain the camp and surrounding grounds as part of a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation.

Accommodations and meals during rotations are provided by the company. Responsibilities include snow removal, lawn care, pruning, cleaning sidewalks, operating groundskeeping equipment, and maintaining exterior building areas.

Qualifications

• Experience as a groundskeeper/landscaper preferred.
• Skidsteer ticket required.
• Pesticide application certification asset (advantage).
• Confined space, fall arrest/aerial work platform tickets preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure general upkeep of exterior property in all seasons: snow/ice removal, lawn mowing, raking, pruning, watering, sidewalk cleaning.
• Safely operate hand-held equipment for grounds care and mowing.
• Operate equipment such as skid steer, front-end loader, and aerial work platforms.
• Collect and dispose of refuse/debris; clean exterior areas.
• Clean exterior windows and eaves; maintain building exteriors.

Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is seeking General Labourers to join our team at Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The General Labourer will be responsible for general upkeep of the camp.

Wicehtowak Frontec Services (WFS) is seeking General Labourers to join our team at Jansen Discovery Lodge in Jansen, SK. The General Labourer will be responsible for general upkeep of the camp.
Where We Work and Live:
The Jansen Discovery Lodge is a workforce housing facility in support of the potash mine. The camp is located 155 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK.
This position works on a 14 days on, 7 days off rotation. Accommodations and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company.
Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the general upkeep of the external property in all seasons by providing snow and ice removal, mowing lawns, raking and weeding, shrub and tree pruning, watering lawns, and cleaning sidewalks
• Safely operating hand-held equipment and tools used in maintaining the grounds and for the purpose of mowing lawn, snow removal, cleaning parking lots/sidewalks
• Operating various equipment such as bob cat, front end loader, sand truck, areal work platform
• Collection and disposal of refuse and debris
• Cleaning outside windows
• Cleaning of eaves on all buildings at site
• Maintenance of the exterior of the buildings, i.e. free of debris, leaves
• Organizing and maintaining supplies required such as fuel, oil, soil, fertilizers, and weed control products
• Performing other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Have previous experience as a groundskeeper/landscaper, operating and maintenance of related equipment will be an asset
• Skidsteer ticket is required
• Background in pesticide application and /or valid pesticide certification for spraying and application of pesticides in the Province of SK considered an asset. Successful candidate must be willing to complete training to obtain certification.
• Confined space, fall arrest/protection, aerial work platform tickets preferred
• Be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision;
• Have the ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
