Job summary

Stubbe’s is seeking a reliable labourer for our Harley, ON plant. Straight day shifts run Mon-Fri, 6am-5pm, with overtime and benefits. Duties include operating concrete fabrication equipment, loading precast components, assembling hardware, and finishing concrete.

The role requires reading drawings and measuring with metric/imperial tapes. Experience in concrete is an asset; English reading is a plus. Safety and teamwork are essential in this indoor plant setting.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience as a concrete labourer is an asset.
• Reading a tape measure (metric/imperial) and drawings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized concrete fabrication equipment safely, including overhead crane and forklift.
• Load precast concrete components using proper stacking methods and assemble hardware per drawings.
• Place, vibrate, and finish concrete according to project specs.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machinery to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete as required.

Positions available in Harley, ON ( between Brantford and Woodstock)

Straight shifts available in our plants

Dayshift 6am-5pm Monday-Friday

Your Day to Day:

• Work in an organized and safe manner according to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policies
• Work according to Stubbe’s quality control standards
• Operate specialized concrete fabrication equipment including, overhead crane, forklift/pay loader, and other various (power) tools
• Assemble hardware according to procedures and drawing specifications
• Load precast concrete components using proper stacking methods
• Install cages and pull strand before tensioning
• Place, vibrate, and finish concrete

Expectations for the Role:

• Engage in a fast-paced, physically demanding work environment - similar to a construction site but indoors
• Repetitive tasks that involve heavy lifting, with the ability to lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 50lbs
• Ability to read a tape measure (metric/imperial) and drawings an asset
• Experience as a labourer in concrete an asset
• Set up, adjust, and operate specialized machinery to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete according to specific requirements
• Place reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds and pour concrete from suspended buckets into molds
• Adapt to additional duties as needed to support operational requirements
• Able to speak and read English is an asset
