Job summary

Angstrom Engineering Inc. in Cambridge, Ontario is seeking a General Labourer for our Production team. This full-time, day-shift role is on site with potential overtime and a pay rate of CAD 20.00–$30.00 per hour.

You will build small mechanical/electrical assemblies, assist with loading, cleaning, and basic equipment upkeep, and work with a team in a clean, safe manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, and able to follow instructions.

Qualifications

  • Must understand and follow basic operator instructions.
  • Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Build small mechanical/electrical assemblies following detailed instructions.
  • Polish/wash parts and components associated with Angstrom systems.
  • Load/unload and package materials and equipment.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment on the shop floor.
  • Keep the manufacturing area clean and organized, including sweeping and waste removal.
  • Assist with walkway maintenance and other shop tasks as needed.

Day Shift | Full Time | On Site

General Labourer

We are seeking a talented and motivated General Labourer to be a vital part of our Production team.

This is full-time role located at our facility in Cambridge, Ontario. Day shift Monday to Friday with some overtime.
Pay Range: CAD $20.00 – $30.00/hr

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build small mechanical/electrical assemblies, following detailed instructions and guidelines.
  • Assist with polishing /washing of parts and components associated with Angstrom Engineering systems and machines
  • Assist with the Load/Unload and packaging of materials and equipment
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery on the manufacturing floor
  • Clean and organize the manufacturing shop floor area
    • This includes tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming and garbage/recycling removal
  • Shovel, salt and maintain walkways
  • General assistance in other areas of the shop, as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have the ability to understand, and follow, basic operator instructions and complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Must be well organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive tasks are required
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
  • Basic knowledge, and safe operation, of hand and power tools is an asset
  • Must demonstrate basic reading, writing, mathematical skills, normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be physically fit, and have the ability to safely lift up to 40 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Great work ethic with a positive attitude and desire to work as a team
  • Work in a manner that garners respect from your peers and makes others around you better
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, as required
