Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or fabricating environment (an asset).
  • Forklift license (an asset).
  • Past foundry and/or machine shop experience (an asset).
  • Experience in casting aluminum and zinc products (an asset).

Position Overview

  • Follow safe working procedures
  • Operate various tools and machines in order to complete products to customer specifications
  • Follow production schedules
  • Complete work in an orderly and satisfactory manner
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Works well independently as well as effectively in a collaborative/team environment
  • Demonstrates an interest in learning
  • Experience in a manufacturing or fabricating environment (an asset)
  • Forklift license (an asset)

Qualification Considerations

  • Past foundry and/or machine shop experience (an asset)
  • Experience operating any of the following: manual drills, hand sanders, bandsaw, belt sander, various hand filing tools
  • Experience in casting aluminum and zinc products (an asset)
