Job description

Responsibilities

1. Become part of the team by communicating positively with lead-hand, co-workers, and supervisor.
2. Ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
3. Unload glass manually, requiring proper lifting techniques.
4. Measure glass for accuracy and quality; reject if incorrect and advise the operator accordingly to uphold quality standards.
5. Attach tags to completed glass and place on the distribution dolly based on tag location requirements.
6. Select the appropriate tagged glass and load onto the dolly by size and dimension, ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed.
7. Use appropriate glass separators for different glass types to maintain quality control.
8. Perform multi-tasking within the department and participate in cross-training across different functions.
9. Communicate dolly completion and movement throughout the plant as required.
10. Responsible for the proper disposal of broken glass and maintaining general housekeeping within the department.
