Job summary

Downright Demolition is seeking a reliable Labourer for our Edmonton crew. The role focuses on safe demolition practices, material removal, and maintaining a clean, organized site across multiple Edmonton-area sites.

You'll work in a fast-paced environment, follow Foreman directions, and participate in on-the-job training to grow your skills in demolition and asbestos abatement while advancing with a growing company.

Qualifications

• Previous demolition/restoration experience.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle access.
• Steel-toed boots and CSTS certificate.
• Willingness to work across Edmonton and surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition on-site, including walls, floors, structures and strip-outs.
• Set up containment areas and follow decontamination procedures.
• Haul debris to waste bins and maintain site cleanliness.
• Demolish drywall, flooring, and ceilings in commercial spaces.
• Operate equipment such as scissor lifts, Hiltis and ride-on machines.
• Sort debris to keep jobs on schedule and report issues.

Downright Demolition is growing, and we're looking for a reliable, hard-working Labourer with demolition/resoration experience to join our Edmonton crew.

What You'll Be Doing

• Performing demolition work on-site, including walls, floors, structures, and strip-outs
• Setting up and maintaining containment areas and following proper decontamination procedures
• Hauling debris and garbage to waste bins
• Demolishing drywall, flooring, and ceilings in commercial buildings
• Operating equipment such as scissor lifts, Hiltis, ride-on floor machines, and hand tools
• Sorting and moving debris efficiently to keep jobs on schedule
• Maintaining tools and reporting equipment issues
• Following daily direction from your Foreman and Site Supervisor
• Keeping the job site clean, organized, and safe
• Following all required personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and site safety procedures

What You'll Need

• Previous demolition/restoration experience
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle, as job sites are across Edmonton and the surrounding area
• Steel-toed, 6-inch boots
• Current Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) certification

Nice to Have

• Fall Protection certification
• Valid Alberta Asbestos Worker Certificate
• Aerial Work Platform (AWP) certification
• First Aid certification
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer
