Job summary

Belwood Poultry Limited is seeking a motivated team member to assist with the processing of turkey products. You will cut, trim and remove poultry parts, operate industrial food production equipment, and follow PPE and safety requirements.

This role emphasizes working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with team members at all levels. The position offers a day shift, Monday to Friday, with starting pay of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Food processing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and damp conditions.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must comply with safety PPE and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Process turkey products, including cutting, trimming and removing poultry parts.
• Operate and work with industrial food production equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow standard operating procedures.
• Communicate with team members at all levels.
• Accept other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Several duties involving the processing of turkey product.
• Cutting, trimming & removal of poultry parts
• Working with industrial, food production equipment
• Demonstrated ability to wear proper PPE (steel toe-rubber boots, hair nets, gloves, safety glasses, apron etc.) and comply with safety requirements
• Ability to maintain cleanliness of areas of responsibility
• Adhere to individual Standard Operating Procedures.
• Interact and share information with Team Members at all levels (Lead Hands, Supervisors, Others). Actively participates in their work group
• Other tasks as assigned

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in varying temperatures and in damp wet conditions
• Heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Physical requirements: standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending and lifting
• Fast paced environment

Compensation:

• Starting Rate: $19.00/hr
• Health care, LTD, Life Insurance following a 90-day probationary period for yourself and eligible family members (co-paid)
