General Factory - Parts Washer - Off Shift

Position Summary

This position may perform various duties including but not limited to material handling, parts washing, forklift operation, and welding.

Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
  1. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  2. Set-up and operate equipment as required, including Butt Welder, Wire Drum, Straightener, and other industrial equipment.
  3. Perform first piece inspection, monitor the quality of all parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  4. Sorting and inspection of manufactured parts.
  5. Perform the duties required for any necessary documentation.
  6. When necessary, move material by operating a forklift or using non-motorized devices.
  7. Assist other operators as needed.
  8. Suggest process improvement ideas.
  9. All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications - Education/Experience:

Required:

  1. Ability to use all gauges and gauging techniques required.
  2. Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards.
  3. Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation.
  4. Good communication and teamwork skills.
  5. Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.
  6. Use math skills for blueprint reading and SPC.
  7. Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments.
  8. Provide written communication as needed.
  9. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.

Preferred:

  1. Some mechanical or technical training.
  2. Experience operating multiple types of manufacturing equipment.
