A healthcare organization in Port Alberni is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to assess and provide nursing care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient safety and care evaluation, must hold a BC Nursing registration, and have effective communication skills. This position may require specific certifications for specialty units. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Under the general supervision of the Care Co-coordinator or the Patient Care Manager, the nurse assesses, plans, provides, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
Specialty unit nurse positions also require area-specific specialty certification for the unit. Emergency Room, ICU, and Critical Care Relief Pool positions require Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Critical care and specialty units (e.g., Emergency, ICU, O.R., P.A.R., Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Psychiatry) require two years of recent related experience.
