A leading healthcare provider in Port Alberni is seeking a qualified nurse to assess and provide high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have registration with the BC College of Nurses and at least one year of relevant experience. Specialty certifications are required for specific units like Emergency and ICU. Under the general supervision of the Care Coordinator or the Patient Care Manager, the nurse assesses, plans, provides, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients following established policies, procedures, and standards.
Specialty unit nurses also require area-specific certification. Emergency Room, ICU, and Critical Care Relief Pool positions require Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Critical care and specialty units (e.g., Emergency, ICU, O.R., P.A.R., Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry) require two years of recent related experience.
