Choices Market Kerrisdale is seeking motivated individuals to join our General Clerk team in a part‑time capacity. No experience is necessary and on‑the‑job training will be provided.

General Clerks work across departments such as Deli, Grocery, Cash, Produce, or Dairy, with initial focus on Cash and Produce. Evening, Friday, and weekend shifts are preferred, and starting wage is 18.50/hour. Store discount is offered as a benefit.

Qualifications

• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Engaging and friendly with a good attitude.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
• Comfortable in a physically demanding role that includes bending and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves and rotate products on the grocery floor.
• Ensure sale items are well represented on displays.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Run a till and assist Front End as needed.
• Wash, trim and cull produce; prep and cook items in deli.
• Clean retail areas and work spaces daily.

Choices Market in Kerrisdale currently has an opening for engaging people to join our General Clerk team in a part time capacity. No experience is necessary and on the job training will be provided.

Our General Clerks work in a variety of departments so no day is the same! You may be assigned to work in one of several departments such as Deli, Grocery, Cash, Produce, or Dairy. This role may focus on Cash and Produce departments to start.
This role will fit someone with evening availability as well as Friday and one weekend day shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• stocking shelves and rotating products on the grocery floor;
• ensuring items on sale are well represented on shelves and in displays;
• responding promptly and professionally to customer inquiries;
• running a till and providing additional assistance to the Front End department as required;
• washing, trimming and culling produce;
• preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold foods in our deli; and,
• cleaning retail areas and work spaces on a daily basis.
