Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring a General Clerk to work in various departments at our Garden City location in Richmond, BC. You will welcome customers, operate a cash register, and share product knowledge to enhance the shopping experience.

You will help keep departments well stocked and presented and ensure freshness. You’ll handle customer inquiries, maintain safety standards, and work with knives and other equipment as required, contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering excellent customer service.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

We are hiring for a General Clerk to work in various departments at our Garden City location in Richmond, BC. Departments include grocery, front-end, produce, bakery and meat.

You will be responsible for:

• Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
• Operating a cash register.
• Sharing product knowledge with customers.
• Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
• Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
• Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Using a variety of equipment, including knives.

You have:

• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.

• Retail customer service experience (considered an asset).

Compensation Details:

$18.25 - $21.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
