Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Fort St. James, BC is hiring a General Clerk/Cashier to work in grocery, and front end departments. Open availability is preferred and up to 40 hours per week.

You will operate a cash register, share product knowledge with customers, keep the department stocked and well presented, handle inquiries, and ensure a safe, sanitary work area. Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Cash handling accuracy is important.
• Retail environment familiarity helps.
• Ability to learn product knowledge quickly.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cash register and ring up purchases.
• Assist customers and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
• Keep the department stocked and presented neatly.
• Ensure only freshest products are displayed and rotate stock as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including tools and equipment.
• Support team members to meet store goals.

We are hiring for a General Clerk/Cashier to work in various departments at our location in Fort St. James, BC. Departments include grocery, and front end.

Open Availability Is Preferred.

Up to 40 hours per week.

You will be responsible for:

• Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
• Operating a cash register.
• Sharing product knowledge with customers.
• Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
• Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
• Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Using a variety of equipment, including knives.

$18.25 - $21.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
