Job summary

Save-On-Foods in Maple Ridge, BC is hiring for a General Clerk/Cashier to support multiple departments including grocery, front end, deli and restaurant. You will operate a cash register, share product knowledge, and ensure the department is stocked and presentable.

You bring a passion for great food and customer service, a strong work ethic, integrity and a willingness to Go the Extra Mile. Retail experience is an asset.

We are hiring for a General Clerk/Cashier to work in various departments at our Dewdney location in Maple Ridge, BC. Departments include grocery, front end, deli and restaurant. Open availability is preferred.

You will be responsible for:

• Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
• Operating a cash register.
• Sharing product knowledge with customers.
• Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
• Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
• Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Using a variety of equipment, including knives.

You have:

• A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
• A strong work ethic and "let's get it done" attitude.
• Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile.
• Retail customer service experience (considered an asset).

Compensation Details: $18.25 - $21.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
