With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring for a General Carpentry and Maintenance role at our corporate office in Norfolk County. The person in this role will be responsible for repairs, construction, and maintenance to ensure buildings remain functional and meet quality standards.

THE ROLE
The General Carpentry & Maintenance role is ideal for a reliable and hardworking individual with hands-on experience in the trades. You’ll support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of Scotlynn facilities, assist with special projects, and help ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
ABOUT YOU
Successful Scotlynn Candidates Have:
  • Attention to detail
  • Trustworthy, reliable & adaptable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in a variety of trades including general maintenance, general labour, electrical, mechanical and plumbing
  • Experience maintaining safety standards and keeping work areas clean
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
This role could also known as General Labourer, Maintenance Worker, Skilled Labourer, or Handyman/Handyperson.
HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN
  • Framing and building structures (walls, partitions, shelving, etc.)
  • Repairing or replacing cabinetry and furniture
  • Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood or other materials
  • Routine inspections of facilities and systems (plumbing, HVAC, etc.)
  • Fixing minor plumbing issues
  • Painting, patching drywall, and minor plastering
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order
  • Responding to work orders or emergency maintenance requests
