General Bakery Sanitor

Location:

271 Attwell Drive, Etobicoke M9W 5B9

Shift:

Night Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), Sunday to Thursday, with potential overtime. Work schedule may change.

Wage:

$21.25 per hour

Position Summary

The General Bakery Sanitor will perform sanitation tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor, including preparing sanitation chemicals, cleaning equipment, and maintaining general housekeeping.

Responsibilities and Skills

1. Complete tasks from the master sanitation program and special assignments as directed.
2. Operate and maintain sanitation equipment such as power washers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers.
3. Follow and uphold WHMIS procedures and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

1. Bending, walking, scrubbing, scraping, mopping, moving objects, and handling equipment.
2. Ability to work collaboratively.
3. Occasional heavy lifting (50-100 lbs) with assistance.
4. Frequent exertion of up to 35 lbs of force.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Willingness to work extra hours as needed.
7. Strong work and attendance record.

Working Conditions

1. Warm, humid, hot, and cold environments.
2. Fast-paced, repetitive tasks requiring extended standing.
