Job summary

A leading finance and accounting firm in Toronto is seeking an experienced accountant with a solid background in manufacturing. The role involves daily transaction recording, monthly reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements. Ideal candidates will have at least three years of relevant experience and be proficient in using pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Recording of daily bank transactions and performing monthly bank reconciliations.
2. Preparation of recurring journal entries, payroll entries, and accruals.
3. Processing the month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for all assigned corporate entities.
4. Monthly reconciliation of subledgers to the general ledger for Balance Sheet and P&L accounts to ensure accurate reflection in financial statements and reports.
5. Maintaining reconciliations and schedules for bank, prepaids, intercompany, and other accounts.

About You:

1. 3 years of general accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. Proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs is essential.
3. Experience in manufacturing is required.
4. Working towards CPA qualification is an asset.

Pay Range: $29 - $31/hour
