Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing designation is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial reporting or general accounting, preferably in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Business Central.
• Experience with financial reporting tools (Power BI, Jet Reports) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain internal and external financial reports, including working papers for audits and regulatory compliance.
• Reconcile general ledger and intercompany accounts monthly and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform treasury functions including bank reconciliations and cash reporting.
• Analyze financial trends, prepare variance reports, and investigate performance deviations.
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, and other business units to deliver financial insight and support decision-making.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Maintain and enhance financial systems and processes, including ERP and reporting tools.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
• Participate in ad hoc financial projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Currently we have an opening for a General Accountant. The General Accountant is responsible for delivering accurate financial reports and supporting the company’s financial operations through account reconciliations, variance analysis, and forecasting support. This position plays a key role in preparing internal and external working papers, supporting audits, performing treasury functions, and providing financial insights to drive operational decisions. The analyst ensures compliance with accounting standards and contributes to system and process improvements that enhance financial visibility and accountability.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Qualifications
