Job summary

Astra-North Infoteck Inc. in Halifax, NS is seeking an AI Platform Engineer to build and operate enterprise GenAI, LLM, and MLOps platforms. The role emphasizes DevOps, containerization, and scalable AI services in a hybrid work setup.

You will develop and maintain LLMOps frameworks, RAG services, and CI/CD pipelines, while guiding teams on best DevOps practices and automation. Halifax-based, hybrid work four days in-office.

Qualifications

• GenAI / LLM / LLMOps / MLOps expertise required.
• Proficiency with Python or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• SDLC and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Application/system design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate enterprise AI/GenAI and LLM platforms.
• Develop LLMOps/MLOps frameworks for deployment and governance.
• Create RAG, embedding/vector search, AI Gateway and APIs.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Support Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed apps.
• Coach application teams on DevOps practices.
• Evaluate new tools and drive automation and platform improvements.
