Position Description :

• Must have hands-on Generative AI experience; this is not an entry-level role.

The Emerging Technologies team in Global Technology and Operations (GTO) Canada at CGI is a trusted Data, Cloud, and AI advisor and implementation partner for our global clients' Data and Advanced Analytics needs. We are an entrepreneurial team focused on positioning CGI as a leading AI partner and exploring new opportunities in the latest technologies. Our capabilities in Generative AI are evolving, with current focus on GenAI agents and risk mitigation.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

As a Data Scientist - Generative AI, your responsibilities will include :

• Building GenAI-based solutions for CGI and clients, including Agentic frameworks.
• Evaluating the quality of GenAI outputs, fine-tuning, and deploying AI solutions.
• Developing Large Language Model (LLM) and NLP solutions by researching best practices and being proactive.
• Data and Prompt Engineering for end-to-end LLM solutions to improve user experience.
• Building, tuning, deploying, and monitoring robust ML solutions using MLOps, RAG, and latest techniques.
• Fine-tuning LLMs with cost-effective PEFT techniques like LoRA, QLoRA.
• Advising clients on GenAI architecture, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
• Collaborating with innovation teams, clients, and account teams to explore GenAI solutions.
• Working with Data Scientists and Engineers in client engagements.
• Implementing proof-of-concept projects and scaling solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

Required qualifications :

This role involves high delivery expectations, including producing POVs quickly and implementing full-scale production solutions with focus on user experience and adoption.

• Hands-on experience with deploying 2-5 Generative AI projects or at least one production deployment.
• Prompt Engineering experience with tools like Azure Promptflow, Amazon Bedrock, Azure AI Studio.
• Experience building LLM solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficiency in fine-tuning LLMs with latest techniques.
• Experience with multiple models, including open-source models like LLaMa, Mistral.
• Experience with various Vector Databases.
• 5+ years of delivering diverse Advanced Analytics solutions.
• Hands-on coding experience in Python, SQL, or other major languages on at least one cloud platform.

Additional desired qualifications :

• Experience with MSFT Copilot, plugins, and connectors.
• Experience with agentic frameworks like Crew AI, Autogen.
