Reporting directly to the Department Head, the GC-MS/MS Specialist (Analyst III) will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and analysis within the Food Chemistry team for method development, method transfer and routine analysis of raw material, bulk and finished products. This is a deadline-based, high-pressure work environment with ongoing projects for a variety of clients. The GC Specialist will have experience in handling advanced GC instrumentation analyses and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The laboratory is primarily looking for GC-MS/MS expertise. Knowledge/experience in GC-FID is desirable as well. The incumbent must be energetic, exceedingly well-organized, flexible, and must have the ability to interact with customers and staff in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.
